Final Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement

" Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy."

     David A. Bednar

Reflection: I can see why obedience can HELP lead to happiness, but it is not the epicenter of happiness. This is false. There are so many other things that can lead to remaining happy, Like family, friends, and the environment around you. The small things in life are what bring us all conjoined to truly be happy. Now, don't get me wrong, when you obey, you learn to respect your elders and the ones with authority, but how can one be happy when all they do is obey? See? there are certain aspects of obedience that can help lead to but not achieve happiness. Euphoria is a bliss and it is accepted into you when you accept the things around you, the details of your life that bring you to be who you are. Obedience should be for the adolescent, so they can grow old and wise. THIS can help make someone happy.

Life Planning Report

Life Planning Report

I wrote 110 + goals into my life planning book. Some of them were small and some of them were big goals that I still need to complete. I'm going to add to my book daily for two minutes just like you had us do. Hopefully this will help me advance my life into a better path. I might erase some goals and I'll replace them wit new ones that I believe are better for myself. When the book is filled up, and if I'm satisfied with my goals then I'll stop. But, if I feel the need to continue then I'll get myself another one.

Class Reflection

Class Reflection/Final Part 1-4

1. What did you like best about this class?
         - I liked how at the end of every student success statement, I was able to give my interpretation or my opinion to you about the quote we just went over. I also enjoyed how I was given a journal to write down my goals to keep myself on track. This one really helped.

2. What did you dislike about the class?
          - I felt that some of the character emphasis's didn't apply to every student in the class. Even though they involved great examples and can really help put a student on the right path, some might not view them as everything in life. This is only my opinion and others here think differently.

3. What can you recommend to improve the class?
            - The only thing I can recommend is that we should not only learn about the functions of Windows Excel, but to study the computers themselves to become more familiar with what we are using.

4.What will you always remember about this class>
            - I think I'll remember most of the research that was given to us. Even though some of those are not in my interest for a career, they were interesting just to learn. It was a simple research process that taught me a lot about the medical field and it added to the New Media class, making this a better experience.

- James E. Faust

Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement:

" Obedience is the great test of life "

 Thomas S. Monson

Reflection: To test yourself and to see how well respected and obedient in this quote seems to be the meaning. But I don't think one should test them selves on how obedient they can be to someone. There is a lack of freedom and self thinking in this. Obedience IS NOT everything, but it is important to obey the ones you KNOW you must such as parents and other respectful authorities. Other than this, I believe one should only respect when they are receiving the same mutual respect back to them. This is what I feel.

"Obedience... is the primary object of all sound education."

Elizabeth Missing Sewell

Reflection: This quote tells us all to choose the correct paths and to obey what we need to in order to become and strive more. Education and Obedience go hand in hand in this very well.
